Authorities in Washington state said a suspicious powder found spread around an intersection turned out to be flour spread by a pair of crows.

Firefighters said a hazardous materials team was called to the Edmonds intersection Tuesday and traffic was diverted for more than an hour while the team worked to identify the substance, The (Everett) Daily Herald reported Wednesday.

"It turns out the white powdery substance is, in fact, flour," Snohomish County Fire District 1 spokeswoman Leslie Hynes said.

A woman who had been jogging in the area earlier said she saw a pair of crows dragging a bag of flour.

"She took it away from them, put it in a garbage can and kept running," Hynes said. "Two crows and a two-alarm hazmat incident."(UPI)

스노호미시 카운티 소방 당국에 따르면 위험 물질 소동의 범인은 까마귀 두 마리로 보인다. 한 여성이 인근에서 이른 아침 조깅을 하던 중 한 쌍의 까마귀가 밀가루 봉지를 끌어당기고 있는 것을 목격했다고 한다. 그녀는 까마귀를 쫓아내고 밀가루 봉지를 쓰레기통에 깔끔하게 처리한 뒤 다시 조깅을 시작했다.

스노호미시 카운티의 화재당국 대변인 레슬리 하인스는 “까마귀도 두 마리였고, 화재경보도 2수준이었습니다”라고 말했다.
