NASA 달 착륙 ’증거사진’ 공개
미국항공우주국(NASA)이 달 궤도 정착 위성 카메라(Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera)의 최신 사진을 공개했다. 이로써 미국의 달 탐사의 상징인 ‘달 표면에 꽂힌 성조기’의 현존 유무를 판단할 수 있게 됐다. 미국의 달 탐사는 1969년 닐 암스트롱의 아폴로 11호를 시작으로 1972년 아폴로 14호의 탐사까지 여섯 번에 걸쳐 이뤄졌다. 지금까지 인류가 천체에 직접 착륙한 기록은 미국의 유인 달 탐사가 유일하다.미국은 여섯 번의 달 탐사에서 자국 과학 기술 성취의 상징으로 성조기를 달 표면에 꽂았다. 외신보도에 따르면 이번에 공개된 미국항공우주국의 사진을 분석한 결과 총 여섯 개의 성조기 중 다섯 개가 아직도 제자리에 건재한 것으로 확인되었다.데일리메일은 과학자들이 이번에 공개된 최신 디테일한 사진을 보면 깃발이 아직 달의 자전 궤도에 따라 그림자를 드리우고 있는 것을 확인했다고 전했다.남아 있지 않은 성조기는 1969년 아폴로 11호기의 탐사 때 꽂
