애플, OLED아이폰 출시 11월로 연기…LCD모델은 9월 출시 유력
[더인베스터 (코리아헤럴드)=김영원 기자] 올해 10주년을 맞아 대대적인 혁신이 예상되는 애플의 아이폰8의 출시가 11월로 연기된 것으로 10일 확인됐다. 지문인식센서를 OLED 스크린에 심는 기술은 사실상 실패한 것으로 보인다. 한 국내 협력사 관계자는 더인베스터에 “애플 경영진이 최근 LCD모델 두 개에 대해서는 9월 출시를 확정 지었지만 OLED모델에 대해서는 여전히 결정이 미뤄지고 있다”며 “11월 출시가 유력 한 것으로 알고 있다”고 밝혔다. 이 관계자는 특히 OLED모델의 경우 후면 디자인이 아직까지도 미정인 상태라며 부품공급 역시 미뤄지고 있는 상황이라고 덧붙였다. 애플은 올해 세개 아이폰 모델을 출시할 예정이다.
