South Korea's producer prices fell by the most in more than three years in December mainly because the local currency sharply appreciated to the U.S. dollar, the central bank said Thursday.The producer price index, a barometer of future consumer inflation, fell 1.2 percent in December from a year earlier, compared with a 0.9 percent on-year fall in November, according to the Bank of Korea (BOK). 암 치료 효과는 나이보다 치료의 적극성과 환자의 신체상태에 달렸다는 연구결과가 나왔다. 분당서울대학교병원 소화기내과 이상협 교수팀은 2003~2011년 담도암으로 진단 받은 환자 531명을 분석해 이런 결과를 얻었다고 16일 밝혔다. 연구팀의 연구 결과, 65세 이하 그룹 205명과 65세 이상 그룹 326명의 평균 생존 기간이 각각 15개월과 11개월로 통계적으로 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 미국 노인의학회지(Journal of the American Geriatrics Society)에 게재된 이 연구결과는 65세 이상 환자 가운데 전신상태가 비슷한 환자를 선정해 치료를 받은 그룹과 받지 않은 그룹을 비교했을 때 각각 10개월과 3개월로 치료를 받은 그룹의 생존기간 이 3배가 높게 나왔다. 이상협 교수는 “나이는 암 치료 경과에 영향을 미치는 중요한 인자가 아니므로 고령이라도 젊은 층과 다름없는 치료 결과와 생존율을 기대할 수 있다”며 “암에 걸렸더라도 운동이나 식이요법으로
