Singer Baek Ji-young suffers miscarriage
South Korean singer Baek Ji-young suffered a miscarriage on Thursday. “Baek had a stomachache on Wednesday night, and visited the Seoul National University Hospital at around 10 a.m. this morning but it was too late,” Baek’s agency said. 김성곤서울대학교 영문학 교수, 한국문학번역원장 최근 한국의 대중문화가 해외에서 유명세를 얻으면서 일부 국민들은 전 세계가 한국에 관한 것이라면 무엇이든 열광할 것이라는 순진한 생각을 한다. 한국문학에까지도 말이다.요새 외국인들이 한국 멜로드라마들이나 영화들, 대중음악들 같은 한국의 대중문화에 관심이 높아진 것은 부정할 수 없는 사실이다. 하지만 안타깝게도 소수의 외국인들만이 한국 문학에 관심을 갖고 있다. 이는 일반적으로 세계에서 문학을 찾는 이의 수가 많지 않기 때문이다. 책이 주로 지식과 여가의 원천이었던 과거에는 어느 나라의 언어를 배우고 나면 거의 항상 그 나라의 문학을 읽었었다. 그러나 오늘날 사람들은 더 이상 문학을 읽지 않는다. 대신 많은 외국인들이 텔레비전 드라마와 영화 같은 한국의 대중 문화를 즐기기 위해 한국어를 배운다. 어떤 사람들은 한국 문학을 해외에 홍보하는데 대산 재단이나 ICF, 그리고 KL 매니지먼트와 같은 사설기관들이 국가에서 운영하는 한국문학번역원보다

로이 킴, 첫 정규앨범 ‘Love Love Love’ 발매

Parties agree on parliamentary probe into NIS election scandal
