National archives unveils list of Koreans killed after 1923 quake in Japan
South Korea's national archives released Monday a list of some of the Korean victims killed by Japan after a powerful earthquake in Japan in 1923. Diver dies in search of sunken ferry
A diver taking part in search operations inside the sunken ferry Sewol died Friday after suffering from breathing difficulties, officials said. (코리아헤럴드DB)세월호 4층 선미 창문 절단 작업에 새로 투입된 민간 잠수사 한 명이 작업 중 숨졌다.30일 오후 3시께 4층 선미 다인실 창문 절단 작업을 마무리 중이던 88수중개발 소속 잠수사 1명이 호흡 곤란 등을 호소해 헬기로 목포한국병원에 긴급 이송됐으나 숨졌다.이 잠수사는 오후 3시 20분께 병원에 도착했을 당시 이미 호흡과 의식이 거의 없었으며 병원 측은 오후 3시 35분께 최종 사망 판정을 내렸다.범정부사고대책본부는 전날부터 선내 붕괴와 장애물로 수색이 불가능했던 4층 선미 다인실의 장애물 제거를 위한 창문 절단 작업을 진행 중이었다.대책본부는 이날 오후 4시 진도군청에서 긴급 브리핑을 열고 사고 경위와 추후 수색 계회 등을 발표할 예정이다.
