Lotte World Adventure, one of the most popular theme parks in South Korea, said it's presenting romantic Valentine's Day-themed events for first-time visitors as well as returning lovers.
The theme park, located in Songpa-gu, southeastern Seoul, announced Monday that the entrance gate to Magic Island, featuring the sky blue roof -- will turn into an interactive photo zone with moving backdrops on Valentine's Day, Wednesday.
When visitors stand in the photo zone and strike a pose, a digital fireworks show will be displayed on the walls of Magic Island’s castle for memorable photos. Couples can capture the Valentine’s Day moment with colorful, heart-shaped fireworks and make unforgettable memories.
Lotte World Adventure will also present a special “Lorry’s Lovely Valentine” event for lovers returning after having visited the theme park on Valentine’s Day 2023.
Those who applied and shared their Valentine’s Day experience last year in a text message with Lotte World Adventure can get a chocolate set and the chance to take photos with Lotty and Lorry -- the theme park’s mascots who are also a couple -- at the meeting plaza on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The theme park’s indoor ice skating rink is also holding a “Sweet Skating on Valentine” event from Tuesday to Thursday.
Ten random lovers will be selected during the event period and given flowers as a special gift.
Free photo printing services are offered to guests who visit the ice rink after 6 p.m. and upload the photos with a hashtag on social media.
Couples showing their corresponding rings or a photo together can get an 8,000 won admission ticket discount. These visitors can also get a candy set and a chance in this year's raffle.
