Subway Line No.2 to halt for 10 minutes around 3 p.m.

Seoul Subway Line No. 2 will halt operation for 10 minutes at 3:10 p.m. on Tuesday for disaster drill conducted in southwest part of Seoul.
Seoul Metro said it would conduct a disaster safety drill between 3 p.m.-4 p.m. at the Hyundai Department Store near Sindorim Subway Station on Subway Line No. 2. The drill will involve anti-terrorism and fire exercises, according to the company
The exercise will involve a situation in which a terrorist installs a bomb in the subway approaching Sindorim Station, causes an explosion, makes a run to the nearby department store and sets fire inside the shopping mall.
Nearly 470 people from 17 private and public organizations -- including the military, police, fire and health agencies -- will participate in the drill. Subway Line No. 2 operation will be affected for around 10 minutes during the drill, when the terrorist strikes the subway.
Seoul Metro cautioned there would be short bursts of flames and smoke during the drill and asked riders to follow the guidance of its staff during the exercise.
