The Army said Thursday that three soldiers -- Kim Hak-jae, Kim Woo-kyum and Shin Hyun-joon -- had saved a truck driver on their way back to their base from vacation.
They reportedly saw an unconscious driver bleeding inside an overturned truck close to the camp around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
The soldiers immediately took him to a safe area nearby and called the emergency services.

A 31-year-old medical non-commissioned officer from their brigade also saw the scene and administered first aid to the driver, then helped the emergency services take him to a hospital.
Kim Hak-jae said, “It is a soldier’s duty to save people’s lives,” adding that he is happy the driver is safe and wishes all the best.
