First bus to connect Pyeongtaek and Gangnam

Intercity express bus M5438, the first bust to connect Pyeongtaek city with capital Seoul’s Gangnam area, will kick off test operation from Friday.

The bus will run 18 times a day for the pilot period of one month.

Once the test period is over, starting July 1, a total of ten M5438 buses will run 36 times a day.

Each day’s first bus departs from Jije Station in Pyeongtaek at 5 a.m., and the last bus from Gangnam Station at midnight.

For the 70-kilometer distance, the trip will cost 2,200 won ($2) to 2,900 won depending on the place of departure. Interval times will be roughly an hour, give or take 30 minutes.
