The 2017 Next Content Fair will kick off at Bexco in Busan on Friday to offer a marketplace for fast-developing visual content ranging from online games to virtual reality programs.
The event jointly organized by Korea Creative Content Agency and Bexco, is the first marketplace event to be held in the southern port city, gathering around 150 content creators and buyers from 16 countries. The fair will run through Sunday.
Under the slogan “Find Your Future Job in NEXT CONTENT FAIR,” the exhibition will introduce VR programs, animations, characters and online games created by local companies to offer business opportunities to enter the overseas market.

Story-pitching, investor relations as well as consulting sessions will be held on the sidelines of the event, organizers said.
For visitors, the fair will hold live shows featuring Korean creators on Friday and idol stars on Saturday. An audition for performer wannabes is also scheduled to take place Sunday.
“The 2017 Next Content Fair will play an important role in driving the development of the local content industry and introducing various contents and related products for visitors,” said Ham Jeong-oh, president and CEO of Bexco.
