Diageo Korea to roll out special whisky packages for Chuseok

Diageo Korea said Tuesday it would offer specially packaged versions of its whisky brands in celebration of the upcoming Chuseok holiday.
The company’s 20 kinds of whisky including Johnnie Walker, Windsor and Bell will be gift packaged and some will come with promotional cups.
The recently relaunched Johnnie Walker Aged 18 Years will also be introduced to Korea for the first time. The 18-year-old whisky is priced at 129,000 won ($114) per 750-mililiter bottle.

There will also be a holiday version of the W Ice, the company’s alternative to its traditional whisky brands. W Ice has an alcohol content of 35 percent, relatively lower than other conventional Scotch whiskies with 40 percent alcohol content. A 450- milliliter bottle of W Ice is available at 26,000 won.
Johnnie Walker Blue Label, Johnnie Walker XR21, Johnnie Walker Black Label and Windsor 17 will also come in the special packaging, along with other signature whiskies of Diageo, the company added.
