Seoul Book Club to host Q&A with British author Helen Oyeyemi

British author Helen Oyeyemi, author of “Boy, Snow, Bird,” “Mr. Fox” and “The Icarus Girl” will be talking about her work at the Seoul Book and Culture Club on Sunday.
At the event, held in partnership with the British Council, host Barry Welsh will interview Oyemi, with Korean interpretation, before taking questions from the audience.
Oyeyemi, who currently lives in Prague, wrote her first novel, “The Icarus Girl,” while still at school studying for her A-levels. Since then, she has published four more novels and two plays. Her latest book, the story collection “What is not Yours is not Yours,” was released in 2016.
She has been shortlisted for many awards and her accolades include a Somerset Maugham Award in 2010.
The event will take place from 4-6 p.m. at the Haechi Hall in Seoul Global Cultural Center in Myeong-dong. Admission is free.
