A child care worker is facing a criminal investigation over allegations of abusing a 2-year-old child at a day care in Incheon, police said Monday.
Incheon Samsan Police Station said the 25-year-old woman was accused of covering the child with a blanket and choking him multiple times while he was asleep.

The child’s parents reported the cast to the police on Friday upon noticing that their son had bruises and scratches on his neck.
The accused has been suspended from the day care and the police said they will take her in for further investigation. They are currently checking CCTV footage of the day care over the last couple of months to identify any other cases of child abuse.
