[THE INVESTOR] Korea Sale Festa, the largest shopping festival in the country, will be held from Sept. 30 to Oct. 3 near Coex Mall in Samseong-dong, southern Seoul, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced on Aug. 31.

South Korean pop stars will perform at the opening ceremony which will be broadcast live on Korea Broadcasting Station and will also be broadcast in about 120 countries worldwide.

Under the slogan of “Enjoy! Korea Sale FESTA,” this year’s festival will be arranged with six themes: K-Brand that will allow participating companies to promote themselves; K-Culture will present custom-tailored performances; K-Beauty will let visitors try out cosmetics from major beauty brands; K-Fashion will showcase merchandise from famous online stores; K-Food will offer a big variety of food from that of established restaurants to street vendors; and K-Tour will introduce tourist destinations around the country.
