“King of Masked Singer” is the most popular singing competition show run by a terrestrial channel in South Korea, data showed Monday.
Korea Broadcasting Advertising Corp. (KOBACO) released the result of its survey of 4,974 people aged 13-59 who live in Seoul and its satellite cities.
The result showed that 52.6 percent of those surveyed voted MBC TV's “King of Masked Singer” as their favorite. SBS TV’s “Fantastic Duo” came next with 15.7 percent, followed by KBS 2TV‘s “Legend Song” with 9.8 percent, MBC TV’s “Duet Song Festival” with 8.4 percent and SBS TV's “Voice of God” with 7.5 percent.
More than 30 percent of the respondents said they liked the show because of its unique format where two masked singers compete against each other.
For “Legend Song” and “Duet Song Festival,” the respondents said they watched them for their excellent selection of songs. (Yonhap)
