Director Hong Sang-soo’s latest full-length film “Yourself and Yours” has been invited to three international film festivals.

The movie will be screened at the 64th San Sebastian Film Festival, the 41st Toronto International Film Festival and the 54th New York Film Festival, which are scheduled to run in September and October.

Starring actors Kim Joo-hyuck and Lee You-young, the movie chronicles one man’s search for his girlfriend after a night of arguments.

At San Sebastian Film Festival, which runs from Sept. 16-24 in Spain, the film will be competing for the Golden Shell, the event’s highest ranking award, along with French film director Bertrand Bonello’s “Nocturama,” British filmmaker William Oldroyd’s rendition of the Shakespeare classic “Lady Macbeth,” and four others.

Calling the film Hong’s “ongoing exploration of the painful caprices of modern romance,” the New York Film Festival, from Sept. 30 - Oct. 16, will be featuring “Yourself and Yours” in the Main Slate category, where Hong’s “Right Now, Wrong Then” was shown at the last year’s event.

Additionally, Hong’s 18th feature film will be one of the 24 global productions highlighted at Toronto International Film Festival’s Masters program, where director Kim Ki-duk will be making the North American premiere of “The Net.”

“Yourself and Yours” is scheduled to open in local theaters in November.
