An event will take place this week to help students from South Korea and Japan better understand each other's culture through dancing.
The organizers -- the Soorim Cultural Foundation and the Japan Global Cultural Exchange Foundation -- on Sunday said they will hold a cultural exchange program titled "Seoul-de Dance, Dance, Dance" from Thursday to Monday.
In the fifth iteration of the festival, 36 students will form six dance teams and practice before performing a show on Sunday at the Hi Seoul Youth Hostel in western Seoul.
"The event is not only fun for the students, but it serves as a chance for both groups to overcome the language barrier and enhance mutual understanding," said an official from the Korea organizer.
"We hope the amicable relationship between the students grows and expands further."
The exchange program is mentioned in one of Japan's English textbooks so it can be used as teaching material in the country. (Yonhap)
