[THE INVESTOR] Korean cosmetics giant AmorePacific has successfully introduced its premium brand Hera in China, it announced on July 18.
The official launching event on July 15 was attended by more than 250 media representatives and VIPs at Pheonix Media Center in Beijing. It showcased videos that reinterpreted its best-selling items such as Cell Essence and UV Mist Cushion, and a performance that demonstrated the ideal beauty of Hera, “Seoulista.” The highlight of the event, however, was the appearance of popular actress Gianna Jun who endorses the brand.

Hera entered the Chinese market by opening a store in SKP Department Store, one of the most prestigious department stores in the capital, on July 1 and will open seven more in high-end department stores in major cities within this year.
On July 16, the brand topped the daily cosmetics sales at SKP, according to the company. Hera has been drawing Chinese customers at duty-free stores, accounting for two-thirds of the brand’s sales, it added.
