Korean indie rock band Hyukoh sold all 3,000 tickets for its upcoming concert in China within just one minute of them going on sale, demonstrating the band’s growing popularity in China, the band’s agency Duruduru AMC announced Tuesday.
“Hyukoh is set to hold the solo concert ‘20/22’ in Shanghai on July 9, at the enthusiastic request of Chinese fans,” said the agency.
The band previously captivated Chinese audiences at the country’s biggest music festival, the Strawberry Music Festival held in Shanghai and Beijing in May 2015.

The four-member indie band consisting of lead vocal and songwriter Oh Hyuk, bassist Im Dong-gun, guitarist Lim Hyun-jae and drummer Lee In-woo, debuted with their first EP “20” in September 2014.
The band appeared on MBC’s variety show “Infinite Challenge” in 2015. Its lead vocalist Oh contributed to the sound track of tvN’s drama series “Replay 1988,” which was aired in 2015.
Meanwhile, the band is also scheduled to play at Summersonic, one of Japan’s biggest festivals that will be held in Tokyo and Osaka from Aug. 20-21. The band will perform at the New Stage, Osaka, on Aug. 20 and at the Beach Stage, Tokyo, on Aug. 21.
