Korean indie rock band Hyukoh is enjoying rising popularity in mainland China, selling out tickets for its forthcoming concert in the country in the blink of an eye, the band's management agency said on Tuesday.

"The 3,000 tickets for Hyukoh's exclusive concert in Shanghai sold out in one minute after the ticket box opening," said Duruduru AMC in a press release. "Hyukoh is already hot in China, even before its China debut."

The Korean rock quartet, with lead vocal and songwriter Oh Hyuk, bass guitarist Im Dong-gun, lead guitarist Lim Hyun-jae and drummer Lee In-woo, will throw its first China concert in Shanghai on July 9.

Dubbed "20/22," pointing at the band's first two EPs "20" and "22," Hyukoh is gearing up for its successful China debut.

The indie band first seized Chinese music lovers' attention at the Strawberry music festival in early May in Shanghai and Beijing.

Since its official debut in September 2014, Hyukoh has widened its presence in the South Korean indie rock scene. (Yonhap)
