The portal owned by Phoenix New Media is the fifth-most visited website in China with an average of 150 million visitors and 1 billion page views a day.
The South Korea news website will cover a wide range of topics, from economy and travel to entertainment, fashion and entrepreneurship.
"Lack of information has hindered the mutual development of South Korea and China even though trade has increased exponentially," Renghwangwang Korea Media said in a statement. "The purpose of this news website is to expand business and cultural exchange by providing stories that analyze current issues from many angles." (Yonhap)
