The blended whisky is put through a compound filtering process to remove the brown color and leave a clear spirit, according to the company.
Golden Blue said that unlike other strong spirits usually used in cocktails, Phantom the White can be enjoyed on its own, or mixed lightly with tonic water.
According to Golden Blue CEO Kim Dong-wook, Phantom the White is designed to appeal to “existing whisky drinkers as well as younger consumers in their 20s and 30s who are trying whisky for the first time.”
Golden Blue’s Phantom the White is 36.5 percent alcohol and is priced at 19,950 won ($16.70) for 450 milliliters and 28,350 won for 700 milliliters.
