Gwangju center offers cultural orientation event for foreign students

Gwangju International Center is running two tours to introduce international students to the city and help them meet Korean peers.
The Gwangju Tour with Global Friends will host up to 15 foreign and 15 Korean university students on a tour of local cultural sites on May 21 and May 22
The tour will visit Gwangju Traditional Culture Center, Art Street, Chungjangsa and the Yangnim-dong History and Culture Village on the first day. On the second, the students will visit the May 18 Cemetery dedicated to protestors killed during democracy protests and watch the film “May 18.”
There will be an orientation evening on May 13.
To join the tour, submit the application form available at www.gic.or.kr by May 8. Participants must be a student at one of the city’s universities and able to speak English.
