Porsche Korea, the local unit of the German luxury car brand Porsche, will recall 5,908 Cayenne sports utility vehicles for problems in their foot pedals, the Korean transport ministry said Thursday.
A clip may have become dislodged from the pedal bracket, which could lead to a malfunction in the braking system while driving, according to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
The problem has been detected in 5,908 Cayenne SUVs produced between Jan. 15, 2010 and Jan. 11, 2016.
Free repair services will be available from Friday at Porsche Korea's service centers throughout the country.
The ministry said Toyota Motor Korea will also recall 1,658 units of Rav4 SUVs produced between Feb. 27, 2009 and Nov. 14, 2012 for a safety defect in the rear seat seatbelts. (Yonhap)
