Airport Railroad Express has become one of the most used means of transport between Incheon International Airport and Seoul among foreign tourists in Korea, company officials said Tuesday.

AREX trains run between Incheon International Airport and Seoul Station. They operate on two services -- All-stop Train and Express Train. The regular train stops at all 12 stops and the express line operates nonstop.

The regular train ticket costs 4,150 won and takes 58 minutes from Seoul Station to the airport. The express train offers a 43-minute nonstop trip with designated seats and cabin crew service for 8,000 won.

AREX users can easily transfer to Seoul Subway Lines 1 and 4 at Seoul Station. Tourists can also transit to other cities in Korea at the same station via KTX, the local high-speed train.

Officials noted that other convenient features of AREX include early check-in service at the City Airport Terminal inside the AREX terminal, annexed to Seoul Station.

Tourists -- when departing from Incheon International Airport -- can check in early and go through the departure process at the AREX terminal.

They said tourists can also get tax refunds from the automatic tax-refund machines installed at the terminal inside Seoul Station.
