Ssangyong Motor will unveil the long body version of its popular Tivoli sport utility vehicle in March, an industry source said Thursday.

The Tivoli is one of Ssangyong Motor’s most recent and most popular models. Sales began early last year. It was the first new model the automaker brought to the market since it was acquired by Indian conglomerate Mahindra & Mahindra in 2011.
According to industry watchers, the long-body version appeals to customers who want more luggage space from the compact SUV. Last year, Ssangyong Motor sold nearly 64,000 units of the Tivoli at home and abroad. It marked the carmaker’s best annual performance.
