LG Uplus Corp., Korea's No. 3 mobile carrier, said Monday its fourth-quarter net profit halved due to one-off costs.
Net profit came to 39.5 billion won (US$32.7 million) in the October-December period last year, down 53.6 percent from a year earlier, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Sales advanced 6.6 percent over the cited period to 2.86 trillion won, while operating profit nosedived 40.7 percent to 113.1 billion won.
Shares of LG Uplus climbed 0.52 percent to 9,730 won on the Seoul bourse as of 10:35 a.m., while the market moved up 0.29 percent. The fourth-quarter result was released during trading hours. (Yonhap)
