James Kim, president of GM Korea, was re-elected as chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea to lead the organization for the third consecutive year, it said Wednesday.
  

Kim, who had served as country manager of Microsoft Korea, became GM Korea's president and chief operating officer in June. He is the first Korean-American to serve as the AMCHAM chairman.
  

"I will lead the chamber into its next 60 years of partnership, advocacy and service in Korea," Kim said in a release.

AMCHAM was founded in 1953 to expand investment and trade between South Korea and the United States. It is the largest foreign chamber in Korea with about 800 member companies. (Yonhap)
