Kumho Tire has launched its regular seasonal giveaway event for those purchasing winter tires until Dec. 15, company officials said.

Customers who purchase the WinterCRAFT KW27 and other winter tires at Kumho Tire dealerships across the country will receive a moisturizing body lotion set.

Additionally, Kumho Tire dealerships in Seoul, Incheon and parts of Gyeonggi Province are also offering a service where they store customers’ old tires when they switch to winter tires.

“Winter tires are a must for safe driving in winter, even if there is no snow or ice,” said a Kumho Tire official. “Regular tires cannot perform as well in temperatures below -7 degrees Celsius because the rubber shrinks. Therefore we recommend people to have frequent car checkups and install winter tires for safe driving.”

The company added that they are also receiving preorders for winter tires until Nov. 30 through their website (www.kumhotire.co.kr). Those who preorder will receive a luxury brand jacket as a gift.
