Lotte.com, Lotte’s online retail presence, launched a new Chinese mobile shopping app Wednesday in an aim to offer optimized services to a growing number of online Chinese shoppers who purchase overseas merchandise.
China.lotte.com is focused exclusively on customers in China, introducing new categories and services that go beyond those offered by Global.lotte.com.
The new app offers three special service categories including a product lineup consisting of the popular items among Chinese customers, expanded payment methods including Alipay, UnionPay, Tenpay, PayPal and Chinese credit cards.
Lotte has also improved its delivery system to ensure faster and cheaper overseas delivery services, expanding its shipping and handling methods to save costs and time.
“Through meticulous translations and user tests via Chinese supporters, this app offers our Chinese shoppers a local-friendly user interface”, said Lotte.com’s global business team manager Hwang Hyun-jung, adding that the company already has gained “thousands of followers and recruited supporters on Weibo since last year.”
