BNP Paribas said Monday that it appointed Philippe Noirot as CEO of its South Korean branch, to be effective July 1. He is to succeed Joris Dierckx who will move to a new senior position in the Asia-Pacific region.
Noirot is currently pasted at the group’s Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore as head of corporate deposits and liquidity, as well as head of business development, corporate and institutional banking.
He joined Fortis Bank in 2005 in Belgium as head of business development and marketing, before moving to Singapore in 2011.

The French banking group has been operating in Korea since 1976 and holds a 50 percent stake in Shinhan BNP Paribas Asset Management, a joint venture with the nation’s largest banking corporation Shinhan Financial Group.
