South Korean rapper Psy will soon release an album containing Chinese versions of his lesser known songs to reach out to more Chinese fans, his local management agency said.

Unlike his global hits "Gangnam Style" and "Gentleman," the tracks on the new album, including "Paradise," "The End" and "What Would Have Been," have appealed to his fans for their lyrical melody and lyrics, YG Entertainment said on Thursday.

The 37-year-old rapper performed his song "Father" in Chinese during the Chinese QQ Music Awards show on March 25. Released to the QQ Music site a day later, the latest version took first place on the QQ popularity chart for two consecutive days.

The rapper has a large following in China with more than 24 million followers on the Chinese social network service Weibo. (Yonhap)
