Chung Eui-sun, vice chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, visited the 2015 International CES in Las Vegas to showcase the firm’s future auto technology, the company said Tuesday.

His attendance demonstrates the automaker’s attention to the global trend of convergence between cars and information technology, industry watchers said.
The Hyundai Motor heir-apparent is in charge of developing the carmaker’s growth strategy, including the use of smart technology in cars, according to news reports.
During the 2015 CES, Hyundai Motor runs its own booth to showcase its future transportation technology to visitors.
Hyundai Motor’s Blue Link smartwatch app also debuted for the first time at the trade show, Hyundai Motor America said. The app allows Hyundai drivers to start, stop, lock and unlock their cars using their smartwatch.
On top of the smartwatch app, the company is also showcasing a variety of future auto technologies, including a production-ready augmented reality display concept.
Chung will also pay a visit to the 2015 Detroit Motor Show, which will to open in Detroit on Jan. 12, the company said.
