What’s Next Entertainment Group is holding the first monthly Global Filmmaking Network meeting of the year in Seoul on Sunday.

The event aims to bring Korean and expat filmmakers together by providing education and opportunities for growth. It will also function as a very early meet-and-greet for people thinking about joining the international 48 Hour Film Project in October.

Kevin Lambert from the Korea Indie and Expat Film Festival will talk at the event about programming for festivals.

The top two films of the Seoul section of last year’s 48 Hour Film Project competition will be screened at the meeting, followed by a question-and-answer session with the teams who made them.

After the network meeting, a table read will be held on the second floor of the Bull & Barrel. Every month, one to two scripts will be chosen to receive constructive feedback. This month, the group is reading a TV pilot and a feature film based on the life of a Viking.

Due to limited places, those interested in having scripts read or reading scripts should message the Breaking into the Biz page on Facebook.

The Global Filmmaking Network meetings will be held on the second Sunday of every month from 5-7 p.m. at the Bull & Barrel in Itaewon.
