Figure skater Kim Yuna recently broke up with her boyfriend Kim Won-joong, news outlets reported Wednesday.

Korean entertainment news site Star News reported that Yuna and ice hockey player Won-joong had ended their relationship, citing multiple acquaintances of the two.

“We don’t know exactly when they split, but it is true that they are no longer together,” a source was quoted as saying.

Yuna’s agency All That Sports has yet to confirm the reports.

The pair made their romance public in March after several photos of them, supposedly on a date, were revealed by a local media outlet.

The sports stars reportedly first met in 2012 at the Taeneung training center, where Korean national athletes train, and went on dates in secret about twice a month outside the training camp.

When the former Winter Olympic champion Yuna suffered from pressure and stress while preparing for the Sochi Olympics, Won-joong was there to support her, the media outlet said.

Her former boyfriend Won-joong, a key player on the national ice hockey team, boosted his profile by leading the team to win the top prize at the 2013 Ice Hockey Competition.
