Park Hae-jin, an icon of generosity
Actor Park Hae-jin became an icon of generosity, as he went on a volunteer community service with a group of online trolls who wrote malicious comments about him.
“Park Hae-jin participated in a voluntary community service on Oct. 31 with the online critics who were arrested for spreading ill-natured rumors,” Park’s star agency said on Tuesday. Park’s fans also participated in the five-hour volunteer service.
His critics were investigated and arrested in March by the local police after Park sought their punishment. However, when some of them begged for forgiveness, the actor dropped the case under one condition: they would participate in a volunteer community service with him.
The volunteer team visited the Gooryong Village in Gaepo-dong, in southern Seoul to deliver briquettes and other winter necessity to the elderly residents of the underprivileged area.
Park is currently playing a handsome serial killer in OCN’s Saturday crime drama “Bad Guys” that launched on Oct. 4.
