Kim Jeong-hun, general manager of PR and marketing at Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Corp., received on Friday a ministerial citation from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport at the Korea Logistics Awards, held at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The ceremony, which was held for the 22nd time this year, rewards those who contribute to the development of Korea’s logistics industry.

Kim was acknowledged for enhancing the competitiveness of logistics in Pyeongtaek Port by helping boost sales, both at home and abroad, and attracting investment. In addition, Kim raised the quantity of freight and reduced operating costs for logistics companies. He was also recognized for raising awareness of the port in China.
He helped bring Pyeongtaek Port the biggest increase in Korea in terms of its quantity of freight, the ministry said.
The ceremony was held as part of the Logistics Day event, the largest event in the domestic logistics industry, hosted by the Transport Ministry, Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Integrated Logistics Association.
The event also included a conference about logistics innovation and a certificate ceremony for excellent logistics warehouse companies.
