The Korea Environmental Industry and Technology Institute said Monday that it will hold the Eco-Expo Korea 2014, an environmentally-friendly fair, at Coex in Samseong-dong, Seoul, from Oct. 21-24.
“Building on 10 years of experience in disseminating sustainable lifestyles and consumption patterns, the fair is paving the way toward sustainable development in conjunction with the nation’s top-notch eco-businesses,” said the state-run institute.
KEITI is scheduled to cohost the event with the Ministry of Environment, and said that futuristic products and services will be showcased, with the participants including 246 eco-friendly-oriented enterprises and organizations.
Among the participants are Renault Samsung Motors, Toyota Motor Korea, LG Electronics, Shinsegae, E-Mart, Lotte Mart and Lotte Department Store.
A KEITI researcher said that eco-business meetings among suppliers, public procurers and distributors will be convened as a sideline event.
