Gachi CSA is hosting a farm camp this weekend in partnership with Slow Food Youth Network Korea.
Gachi CSA is a Korean affiliate of volunteer community group World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms, which links farmers directly to consumers through a subscription service. Those at the camp will help out at Hansol Farm in Gyeonggi Province and get a chance to meet some of the farmers who supply their food.
There will also be a campfire and other activities associated with life under canvas. Those joining the camp should bring a sleeping bag, clothes suitable for farm work, towels and other camping basics.
The camp runs from 11 a.m. Saturday to 5 p.m. Sunday and costs 35,000 won, or 30,000 won for Gachi members. Tents, food and drink are provided.
