SAN FRANCISCO (AP) ― Clayton Kershaw pitched a two-hitter to win his ninth straight decision, leading the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 5-0 victory over the San Francisco Giants on Saturday night.
Adrian Gonzalez had three hits and an RBI and Juan Uribe had two hits and two RBIs to help the Dodgers move into first place in the NL West, one-half game ahead of the Giants.
Kershaw (12-2) walked one and struck out seven in his ninth career shutout and second this season. It was also his fourth complete game of the year and 15th of his career. The left-hander improved to 12-6 with a 1.40 ERA in 23 career games against the Giants, including 7-2 with a 0.69 ERA at AT&T Park.
Ryan Vogelsong (5-8) retired the first 11 batters before Hunter Pence lost Gonzalez’s double in the sun with two outs in the fourth. Hanley Ramirez followed with an RBI single.

Jays end streak at Yankee Stadium
NEW YORK (AP) ― For nearly two years, the Toronto Blue Jays had walked off the field at Yankee Stadium with losses. Every time.
Dan Johnson’s 70-foot infield hit helped the Blue Jays stop their 17-game skid in the Bronx.
Johnson drove in four runs with the seventh-inning single and a three-run homer in the ninth, lifting the Blue Jays over New York 6-4 on Saturday for their first win at Yankee Stadium since Aug. 29, 2012.
“We were trying anything,” Johnson said, “just to kind of change the feeling, the mojo here.”
Toronto didn’t take batting practice before Friday’s 6-3 loss or on Saturday. Manager John Gibbons described the losing streak as feeling “Volkswagen tracks” on his neck.
Brian McCann’s two-run homer off Drew Hutchison (7-9) put New York ahead, but the Blue Jays tied the score in the fifth against Chris Capuano, who was making his Yankees debut, on Melky Cabrera’s RBI double and Steve Tolleson’s sacrifice fly.
A’s hit 4 HRs to beat Texas
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) ― Sonny Gray was sitting toward the back of the dugout, listening to the power spree that put Oakland in control.
Gray won his sixth straight decision, helped when the Athletics hit four home runs in a six-batter span to beat the Texas Rangers 5-1 Saturday night.
The A’s trailed 1-0 when John Jaso hit a two-run drive with two outs in the sixth inning. Yoenis Cespedes followed with his 17th home run.
Josh Donaldson led off the seventh with another home run and Josh Reddick connected two batters later.
“I really couldn’t see much of the game going on,” Gray said. “Then I just heard everyone yell when John hit his, so I assumed something good happened.”
Gray (12-3) allowed seven hits over 6 2/3 innings to tie for the major league lead in wins. He didn’t give up more than one earned run in any of his five July starts.
“The numbers speak for themselves,” Oakland manager Bob Melvin said. “He’s tough to follow around when you’re a hitter. And, on top of that, he’s quite a competitor.”
Jaso’s shot off right-hander Nick Tepesch (3-7) into the front row of the right-field stands was his eighth homer of the year. Cespedes followed with a drive to nearly the same spot, only a few rows farther.
