Chen of EXO challenged himself to a popular watersport and showed talent.

While preparing for a summer pictorial shoot with lifestyle magazine “The Celebrity,” Chen was given the opportunity to try wakeboarding.

According to local new reports, Chen devoted himself to exercising for leg and ab strength and learning the names of wake boarding equipment, despite his busy schedule.

“According to what I heard, beginners tend to keep falling into the water. Frankly, I would be happy if I could just stand on the board,” Chen was quoted as saying.

In spite of his concerns, Chen was able to stand and successfully enjoy wakeboarding on his first try. 

“This is a very rare case. Chen’s athletic ability and strength must be very good,” his instructor complimented. 

“I had such a good time in the water. I think I felt the youth of nature,” Chen also revealed his satisfaction of trying wakeboard.

Chen’s pictorial is to be released in the magazine “The Celebrity” in July.
