Actress Gong Hyo-jin was injured in a triple car accident, inevitably delaying the filming schedule of SBS television series “It’s Okay, That’s Love,” talent agency Management Soop said on Thursday.
Gong, 34, suffered a fractured arm and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital after her car and two dump trucks collided. Gong’s driver and the two truck drivers were also injured and taken to the hospital.
The accident occurred when Gong was heading back from the filming site of the rom-com in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, around 1 a.m. on Thursday morning, the agency said.
On the Youngdong Highway Gong’s car reportedly tried to squeeze in between two dump trucks in the next lane. But when Gong’s car made the shift, it hit the back of the truck in front of it. Then the second truck hit the back of Gong’s car.
Gong’s agency is currently adjusting the film schedule for “It’s Okay, That’s Love” starring the actress and actor Jo In-sung. The Wednesday-Thursday drama will air its first episode on July 17.
