Philips named Dominique Oh, who previously led Philips Korea’s healthcare business unit, as the new country manager for the Korean market, the company said on Tuesday.

Based on his experience and know-how in business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing, Oh, a French citizen, is expected to lead Philips to overall growth in the Korean market by effectively creating cooperation and synergy among the business sectors of healthcare, lighting and consumer lifestyle.
The new CEO of Philips Korea, who began his career at CNES, the French space agency, in 1991, was the CEO of Apple Korea from 2011 to 2012 before joining Philips in September 2013.
Meanwhile, Kim Tae-young, former CEO of Philips Korea, will transfer to a position focusing on the growth of Philips in Asian markets including Korea as head of strategic partnerships ASEAN Pacific at Philips, the company added.
