'소치 점수조작, ISU가 미리 계획한 사기극' 美 야후스포츠

미국의 피겨 칼럼니스트 제시 헬름스가 야후스포츠를 통해 김연아의 소치올림픽 은메달 판정은 1년 전부터 기획된 사기극이라며 강도 높게 비난했다.

헬름스는 26일(한국시간) 야후 스포츠에 게재한 ‘스캔들, 사기극 그리고 피겨 스케이팅의 죽음’이라는 제목의 칼럼에서 “소치올림픽은 여자 피겨의 서거일로 기억될 것이다”고 운을 뗀 후 “러시아 폭도들은 전세계 시청자들이 보는 앞에서 김연아의 금메달을 훔쳤다”고 일갈했다.

이어 “피겨에서 스캔들과 사기는 피겨스케이팅의 100년 역사에서 새로울 것은 없지만 소치올림픽에서처럼 잔인무도하게 자행됐던 적은 없었다”고 했다.

그는 “러시아 심사위원들과 미친 러시아 군중들은 TV를 통해 전 세계 생중계되는 소치올림픽에서 이례적이지 않은 일들을 벌였다. 이번 조작은 국제빙상연맹(ISU)이 수개월 전부터 준비한 음모다”고 덧붙였다. (헤럴드생생뉴스)

Yahoo sports blogger Jesse Helms posted an article Tuesday titled "Scandal, Fraud, and Death of Figure Skating."

"The 2014 Sochi Olympics will be remembered as the day when the ladies figure skating finally met its demise," said Helms specializing in figure skating.

"It was the Russian mob politics that robbed Yuna Kim of South Korea of her rightful gold medal in front of the global TV audience. It was the ISU's premeditated device, since they began promoting the 15 year old Julia Lipnitskaia, that turned upside down the COP system as well as the integrity of figure skating," the writer said.

"Scandals and fraud are nothing new to this over a hundred year old sport. But never before was it displayed in so outrageous a manner as in Sochi."
