Dubai-based air carrier Emirates announced Thursday that it has appointed Chang Jun-mo, former sales and marketing manager of Cathay Pacific Airways, as its new country manager in Korea.

Chang acquired more than 25 years of experience in the airline industry while working for Cathay Pacific, contributing passenger transportation, human resources, general affairs, public relations and crisis management.

“I’m glad to be able to work with Emirates Airline, one of the fastest-growing air carriers in the world,” said the newly appointed manager.

“I will put in my best effort to improve the service and quality for Korean customers and ensure that the airline contributes all it can to the growing demand for routes to the Middle East and Europe,” Chang added.

Established in 1985, Emirates Airline currently operates in 141 cities across 80 countries and is considered one of the largest global air carriers.
