Korea Herald columnist Kim Seong-kon, who is president of the Literature Translation Institute of Korea, will be the special guest at the 10 Magazine Book Club on Saturday.
Kim, who is also an English professor at Seoul National University, will be interviewed by Charles Montgomery, an English professor at Dongguk University.
After the discussion, Kim will answer questions from the audience.
On Feb. 22, the club will invite novelist Hwang Sun-mi, best known for her book “The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly.” Hwang will be interviewed by Krys Lee, author of “Drifting House.” The interview will be followed by a question-and-answer session between Hwang and the audience.
“The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly” became a national bestseller upon its release in 2000.
This Saturday’s event takes place in Haechi Hall in the Seoul Global Culture & Tourism Center at the fifth floor of M Plaza in Myeong-dong from 2-4 p.m.
The event on Feb. 22 will also run from 2-4 p.m. at the same place. The open discussion events cost 5,000 won each, but are free for students.
