Girl group 2NE1’s newest single “Missing You” nabbed the top spot on major music charts including Melon, Bugs, Soribada, Olleh, Mnet, Genie, and more just hours after it was released at midnight on Nov. 21.
“Missing You” is different from many of 2NE1’s previously released singles, being a slow-paced ballad without too many showy electronic sounds.
The group also unveiled the music video to the single on YG’s official blog, which includes a scene showing CL in the nude.
“CL’s nude scene in the music video wasn’t included to show off her sexiness, but was chosen as one of the final cuts as an artistic portrayal of a young woman’s deep sadness,” a representative of YG Entertainment stated.
2NE1 released a total of four singles this year including “Falling in Love,” “I Love You,” and “Do You Love Me.”
The group is planning to embark on a world tour that will kick off in Seoul in March and span countries such as China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Japan.
