YUJIN E-Tech, a photo etching firm in South Korea, is seeking to expand its business overseas by exploring potential foreign buyers, the company said.
Established in 1993, the company specializes in the etching of numerous goods including metal keypads, juice extractors and filters, name plates, car doors, speakers, grills, and other sorts of electronics.
Due to the nation’s harsh business reality facing small subcontractors, YUJIN E-Tech has decided to seek better deals from abroad where it hopes to find more enthusiastic and supportive circumstances, according to the company.
“Like many manufacturers in Silicon Valley, suppliers in Korea must be treated as partners-in-business rather than subordinates,” said company chief Park In-soo. “We are currently in negotiations with firms in Japan and are looking to enter the market in the United States as well.”
There are roughly 50 domestic etching firms, of which only about 10 operate on an automated assembly line, including YUJIN E-Tech.
With over 20 years of in the field, the company is able to etch on various materials like stainless steel, copper base alloys, aluminum, nickel alloys and others.
YUJIN E-Tech boasts low sample costs as well as the capacity to perform on small-quantity contracts. It also prides itself on its chemical-based technology that helps prevent any burr or distortion after the etching has been processed, said the company.
