Singer Jung Joon-young, who first came into the spotlight after appearing on cable channel Mnet’s “Superstar K4,” is set to release his first single on Oct. 1.
CJ E&M released a teaser video of the track at noon on Tuesday showing a dark, mysterious setting paired with Jung’s strong voice. The track features a heavy rock sound, with the phrase “I don’t remember,” along with the date of release also appearing in the video. The title of the song has not been revealed.
A representative for the singer stated, “Jung Joon-young has strong opinions and also has a love for rock, which is reflected directly in his debut single. Through his music listeners will be able to know what kind of person Jung is, and what kind of music he would like to play.”
Jung finished third in “Superstar K4” and quickly rose to popularity, appearing on different TV programs and being cast as a radio DJ alongside fellow “Superstar K4” member Roy Kim for MBC FM4U’s “Best Friend.”
Jung Joon-young and actress Jeong Yu-mi were recently chosen to appear on the fourth season of MBC program “We Got Married.”
